Montell Fish

This is the album named “Jamie” by Montell Fish takes listeners along the stages of grief during a breakup. Each song represents a different aspect of love. This album showcases artistic potential as music creation in order to help aid grief. Many of the people who have listened to this album have agreed that the overly-emotional and crushing lyrics can be felt. This album shows a different take on Christian music, and overall has people relating to Montell Fish’s deep lyrics and emotional delivery throughout the 10 tracks.

I think this album does an amazing job of taking a different approach in the genre as well as letting listeners think about a time they felt the way Montell Fish describes, whether it’s in the moment or the past. A couple of Montell Fish’s songs have recently gone viral on TikTok bringing a lot of attention to him. The songs are “Fall in Love with You.” and “Hotel”.

Turnover

Turnover is an alternative band that was formed in 2009. They are known for their chill and dream-pop sounds. With the album “Good Nature” coming out in 2017, I noticed my connection with the song “Super Natural”. The electric guitar provides a soft and vibey feel. The lyrics talk about his feelings toward a girl. He uses the word supernatural to describe these bold feelings. This is a good song to listen to while driving during the sunset or to sing with friends. Many people describe this song as underrated and say it makes them smile. “Super Natural ” is a must for your summer playlist. Some other songs to check out from this band are “Sunshine Type”, “Wait Too Long”, and “Dizzy on the Comedown”.
